Imagine

Written by John Lennon

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us

And the world will live as one

All the above photos were taken at Strawberry Fields, the John Lennon memorial located in Central Park, New York City. Listen to the original song “Imagine” by John Lennon  here.

Love this post, and that song. I take it you took a trip to the memorial?

Last June I went on a with a school group to tour Washington DC and New York City. Central Park was actually the last stop we made before we flew back home! We were so exhausted at that point! It had been like 5 days of only 6 hours of sleep a night.
